禮敬諸佛歌

禮敬諸佛歌

I bow today before the Buddha,

Whom I draw with the mind's brush.

O this body and mind of mine,

Strive to reach the end of ends.

제 마음의 붓으로 그린

부처님 전에

오늘 엎드려 절하오니

이내 몸과 마음의 서원

법계가 다하도록

변치 않게 하옵소서.

He who is in every atom, He

Who presides over the four corners, He

Who overwhelms the world like the sea,

Would that I could always serve Him.

무소부재하시고

시방세계를 주재하시며

법계에 두루 하신 부처님을

영원토록 섬기게 하옵소서.

Idle body, mouth, mind

Approach Him, be with him, unimpeded.

게으른 몸과 마음의 뜻과 소리

싫증냄 없이

부지런히 바로잡아

부처님께 다가가고

부처님과 함께하게 하옵소서.

稱讚如來歌

"I devote myself entire to Buddha."

So speak the tongue today eloquently.

Gush from the innermost of a spring,

O sea of inexhaustible voices and words.

오늘 저희가 입을 모아

나무아미타불을 염하며

온 마음으로 부처님께 귀의하오니

무궁무진한 방편의 바다

가장 깊은 내면에서 샘솟게 하사.

We hail you, Saints,

We praise you, Teachers,

Of the western Sea, virtuous Kings,

Who exist even in dust and sand.

속계의 허망한 세계에서나마

공덕의 몸을 대하였기에

작은 모래 한 알속에도 계시는

끝없는 덕의 바다, 스승님이신

부처님(西王)들을 저희가 기리고자 하나.

Would that my tongue could praise

An infinitesimal part of your virtue.

하지만 어찌 저희의 혀로써

부처님의 덕을 조금이나마 드러낼 수 있겠나이까.
